Pest & Plant ID — SKJ HOLDINGS LLC
Effective date: September 21, 2026

The short version: Pest & Plant ID has no accounts and no sign-in. We never ask for your name or email. Photos you take are used to produce your identification result and are not stored on our servers. We keep only anonymous usage records tied to a random key that isn't linked to your identity. We don't sell data, and there are no ads.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Pest & Plant ID mobile app (Android package com.wiers.plantpestid, and the iOS version when available) handles, and how. The app is operated by SKJ HOLDINGS LLC, a Florida (USA) limited liability company ("we", "us"). If anything here is unclear, email us at floridasgreenthumb@gmail.com.

What the app does

Pest & Plant ID lets homeowners photograph plants and lawns to identify species and diagnose problems, and scan pesticide product labels to get simplified instructions.

What we do NOT collect

Photos you take

When you photograph a plant, lawn, or product label, the photo is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our servers (Supabase edge functions) and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API, the AI service that produces your identification, diagnosis, or label result.

Approximate location (optional)

To tailor plant and pest advice to your climate, the app can use an approximate location — a city/ZIP you type in, or a coarse locality derived from GPS if you grant the optional location permission. This is sent with your requests only as a coarse text hint (for example, city and region).

Anonymous usage records

Each install generates a random, anonymous session key. This key is not linked to your identity in any way. We log anonymized events tied to this key — for example, that an identification happened, its text result, a confidence level, optional thumbs up/down feedback you give, and token counts. We use these records to enforce free-tier limits and to keep the service reliable.

Pesticide label scans

When you scan a pesticide product label, the transcribed label text is stored to build a shared product database. Product labels are public information about a commercial product, not personal data.

Subscriptions and payments

Paid subscriptions are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, together with RevenueCat, our subscription manager. We never see your payment card details. RevenueCat receives only the anonymous session key described above.

Who we share data with

We share data only with the service providers that make the app work:

ProviderRole
SupabaseHosting and database
AnthropicAI processing of photos and requests
RevenueCatSubscription management (anonymous session key only)
Google / AppleApp distribution and billing

We do not sell data, we show no ads, and we do not share data with data brokers.

Data retention and deletion

Anonymous event records are kept for as long as needed to operate the service (free-tier limits, reliability). You can request deletion of the records tied to your anonymous session key by emailing floridasgreenthumb@gmail.com. The session key will be visible in the app under Settings in an upcoming update; include it in your request so we can find your records. We honor deletion requests within 30 days.

Children

Pest & Plant ID is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
